Sparkle and Shine!

I have a Mary Engelbreit craft book that shows different projects for the seasons. She had instructions on how to paint a pair of ice skates to hang outside your door.. Being the ME fan that I am I had to try them.. We are not a big ice skating state and so I asked my friend Jeannie (who lives in Minnesota; BIG skating place!) and she send me two pairs.. this little pair with the double blades and then an adult pair.. I am just thrilled with how they turned out! I just used acrylics and then put a coat of sparkle modge podge on them when dry. Laced with silver sparkly ribbon.. I should put some glitter on the blades , but it makes such a mess.!!

Fancy! I can just see them in the middle of a wreath or tied around a lampost or mailbox! Have I told you that I made my first 2 fabric postcards last week? I was so pleased with them and owe all the inspiration to you!
