Susan G Komen - Race for the Cure

The Race for the Cure will be in May this year, in Boise and I decided that I wanted to make something special for all my women friends.. This is it!! It is a fabric postcard that I made using the pink fabric with the pink ribbon on it.. I added some pink beads and put sparkle modge podge all around the edges.. It is hard to see but it has a pretty glittery edge! On the back I printed my favorite Cancer Quote.. Cancer is such a devastating disease and has touched several of my friends.. BUT.. cancer IS limited,,

Cancer is so limited...

It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.
Cancer is so limited

Elaine, these cards are so good, how kind you are to think of doing that for your friends. I can see the sparkles by the way. Well done.

This is beautiful Elaine and I'm cursing that I missed your birthday :o( Belated birthday wishes to you. We have a similar event in the UK, and last year I swore I would sign up for Race for Life 2008 - and I failed - again!

Elaine- dont click on the comment in here by Kalizar. I've seen some messages like that that end up with a virus on the other end. You might want to delete it.

Hi again! Thanks for the RAK postcard you sent. I have to say the timing of it's arrival is a total God thing. I just got a call from a college girlfriend telling me that one of our mutual friends had been diagnosed with breast cancer. We were discussing what we could do to support her. Then not even 2 minutes later a person from the Breast Cancer Society called to make a solicitation. Then in the mail that very day is your postcard. Truly amazing!
I just don't believe in coincidences, so know that you had a hand in God's even bigger master plan. We don't always get to see how the things we do on a daily basis may be an answer to prayer for someone else.
May you feel blessed today as I do.

Thank you Elaine! I received your postcard earlier this week and I am very touched! Besides loving your work in whatever you do, the message behind it is very powerful. Thank you! Ivanka
